Distance

Journal Entry: Reflections on discernment and boundaries.

Two outdoor benches facing the alps of Switzerland.

The familiarity of self,

All that is ever really known.

Intimately aware of then—

Now—

And the assured trust in all that lies before.

Who are you?

The person that you say you are—

Perhaps.

But would you tell me otherwise?

What would I believe then?

In you I tread with the utmost caution,

Else, I fool myself.

Then who would I know,

Who could I believe?
